Summer is festival season, and festival gigs are surely some of the best.

So far I’ve relished the delightful Tiny Lights takeover of the small town Ymir, BC -that wee darling festival is just in its second year and the couple that spearhead and pull it off are two of the bravest most inspiring folk I know – and the big bang celebration that is Vancouver Island MusicFest (where my teenage folksinging heart just about died to watch the Indigo Girls from backstage).

From a couple hundred people to thousands, I couldn’t pick which I prefer, but goodness me, I love getting to play in the cocoon of music and summer love.
